What is a MNAA designation?

At Appraisals by Yawn & Associates, LLC, our lead appraiser holds the MNAA designation, awarded by the National Association of Appraisers (NAA). Founded in 2010, the NAA was established to unify and empower independent appraisers across the country—providing a national platform for advocacy, education, and professional development.

The MNAA designation is granted to appraisers who demonstrate advanced competency, uphold rigorous ethical standards, and actively contribute to the profession’s growth. It signifies that the appraiser is not only state-certified, but also recognized by a national organization dedicated to supporting independent appraisers and elevating industry standards.

Founded to advocate for appraisers across the country, the NAA provides resources, education, and a professional network that empowers members to stay ahead of regulatory changes and market trends. The MNAA designation is a mark of distinction—earned by appraisers who go beyond minimum licensing requirements to deliver clarity, consistency, and defensibility in every report.
